The Firehouse will be holding the second annual Zero Waste PA Awards on February 23rd and the Society for Contemporary Craft’s Out of Hand Hoedown on March 3rd.Offsite, our own Paul Fireman will be emceeing the Wild and Scenic Film Festival for the second year in a row on March 9th at Chatham University!
The Zero Waste Awards will celebrate events and institutions that have worked hard in 2016 to divert over 90% of their materials through recycling, composting, reusing and more! Join Pennsylvania’s zero waste leaders and keynote speaker Grant Ervin to learn more about how to make your event, school, business, home, or institution, zero waste!
The Society for Contemporary Craft will be holding a private event at the firehouse March 3rd. The Out of Hand Patron Preview will include a live auction of behind the scenes studio tour packages and unique artworks by artists who exemplify Contemporary Craft Founder Betty Raphael’s rare vision. The nation’s premier environmental and picture film festival, Wild and Scenic Film Festival, will be hosted by the Pennsylvania Resources Council and Allegheny Cleanways for the 3rd year in a row! The evening will feature short films that showcase breathtaking ecosystems and powerful stories of individuals and communities taking action to protect their health and environment.
